Launching Ceremony of Talent-Wise Employment Charter and Inclusive Organisations Recoginition Scheme

The Launching Ceremony of the Talent-Wise Employment Charter and Inclusive Organisations Recoginition Scheme, which was one of the programmes in the Commission on Poverty Summit, was successfully held on 28 September 2013. Representatives from major chambers of commerce, employers and management associations, major public and statutory bodies, public utility corporations as well as educational institutions, etc. attended the Launching Ceremony and became pioneer partners of the Scheme to join hands with the Government in promoting employment of persons with disabilities. As led by the Chief Executive, Mr C Y LEUNG, GBM, GBS, JP and the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie LAM, GBS, JP, the pioneer partners also joined the ceremony on stage to support the employment of persons with disabilities with a view to unleashing their potential and building a caring and inclusive society for all.

The Social Welfare Department and the Labour Department set up an information corner at the Launching Ceremony to provide information on the measures and support services provided by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for promoting employment opportunities of persons with disabilities
